Some leaders of the All Progressives Congress with thousands of party members on Wednesday protested on the streets of Abuja against President Goodluck Jonathan administration, reports The Nation.
The protest tagged ‘Salvation Rally’, was aimed at condemning the insensitivity of the government over the spate of insecurity in the country.
The party accused President Jonathan of using the Boko Haram insurgency as a ploy to win the 2015 presidential election.
The party also accused President Jonathan and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of gross incompetence and unprecedented display of impunity.
Leaders of the party at the rally were the party’s National Chairman, John Oyegun, former Head of State, Muhammadu Buhari, and Gov. Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers.
Others at the event were former governor of Osun State, Olagunsoye Oyinlola, former Ekiti governor, Segun Oni, APC’s deputy national chairman, North-East, Senator Shuaibu Lawal, Senator Ali Ndume, and ex-FCT Minister, Nasir El-Rufa .
