APGA Crisis:- Umeh Faction Dissolved

A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja on Wednesday dissolved the executive committee of the Chief Victor Umeh-led faction of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).

Delivering judgment, Justice Abdul Kafarati upheld the chairmanship of Chief Maxi Okwu, who was elected on April 8, 2013.

Kafarati declared that the tenure of the Umeh-led faction had constitutionally expired and ordered it dissolved forthwith.

Rivers Police don’t have rubber bullets - Mbu

Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Mbu Joseph Mbu, has told the two visiting Senators, who are members of the 11-member Senate Committee on Police Affairs, that the command does not have rubber bullets or tear gas.

Answering questions by chairman of the committee, Paulinus Igwe, Mbu maintained that none of his officers used rubber bullet on Senator Magnus Abe during the Save Rivers Movement held on Sunday.

The other member of the committee present at the hearing was Hadi Siraka.
